New Voter Data 2013

Jessica Kennedy collected voter data from the North Carolina Board of Elections from  2013 voter registrations. The focus of the study was of “in-migrants” or of individuals who have recently moved to North Carolina from a different state. This the most accurate data to have measured new, in-migrant voters and where they have moved from.

This interactive data lists North Carolina counties in the first column, then the states from which new voters moved that now reside in that county. The blue square below each state corresponds in size with the number in-migrants to North Carolina from that state that are registered with the NC Board of Elections. By clicking on a state drop-down, you can filter counties by most in-migrants from that state.
